Overview

Devleela Biotechs was established in 2006 as a tissue culture lab and is a well-known establishment in India to provide tissue culture plants. It produces four million plants per annum & has state-of-the art Tissue Culture laboratory. Hi-Tech Green House facility is utilized for the purpose of producing superior quality disease resistant and virus free planting material, the major sources of concern in commercial production of Tissue Culture plants.

Devleela Biotechs was and continues to remain a pioneer lab to introduce commercial production of tissue culture plants of various banana and bamboo varieties. The lab has gained varied and immense expertise in producing and supplying quality-planting material such as tissue cultured plants. It is a matter of pride and honour to be at the forefront of developing innovative technology to benefit farmers , as also to boost overall qualitative and quantitative agricultural production. The plants are kept in high tech German paper Pit moss pots that can be used to export plants.

The Lab is recognized by the Department of Biotechnology under the National Certification System for Tissue Culture Raised Plants (NCS-TCP) (Registration No: TC2016/R205), a renowned concern in the field of commercial production of Tissue Culture plants.

Apart from mass propagation of Grand Naine variety, we are widening the spectrum by aiming on Desi banana on contractual basis. Our credentials are the proof of our decade long service to the mankind. In Devleela Biotechs, we always work hard to confirm the highest quality of saplings & that is the reason behind our entity in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Virat Bamboo

Devleela Biotechs, is propagating Thorn less Bamboo species by Tissue Culture Method. We have different species of bamboo, which are non-flowering, non-thorny, high yielding, suitable for wide range of climate, light to heavy soil, excellent yield obtained under irrigated condition, ready for harvest in 3-4 years and an average yield of 10 culms / clump / year is obtained. Responds well for fertilizer application.

Devleela Biotechs has received multiple citations and recognition. The industry has also bagged Best Pollution free Industry Award in the year 2011-12. The award was given by Honourable Chief Minister of the state. As a recognition of its achievements has entered into an MOU with Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam for Procurement of clone of different bamboos species.

The company is also in the field trial, promotion and extension of the benefit of Tissue Culture raised plants through scientific growing process. A Research project on production of virus free garlic through tissue culture, a collaborative project between Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi (funded by Small Business Innovation Research Initiative (SBIRI), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology and Government of India New Delhi has been successfully completed. As an outcome of the research project, a patent has been filed for the technology ‘Production of virus free garlic’ vide Application No. 1517/EDL/2013
